By day he is father to an 8 year old daughter, by night he's an international multi-award winning Elvis Tribute Artist and headline act. Matt King has been performing as Elvis for over 27 years and is well-known as one of the leading Elvis impersonators in the UK. He has since won many competitions and awards for his Elvis performances.
The idea to perform an Elvis tribute began on holiday in Tenerife in 1991, when Matt won an Elvis soundalike contest and he immediately got the bug to pay tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time. He flew back to Tenerife to sing in the bars and was paid in pizza – he was literally singing for his supper... and the rest is history!
Matt won his first competition in Blackpool 2004 beating Czech Vladimir Lichnovsky and Scott Elvis’ G.I. Presley to the pro crown and now plays to audiences all over the UK and Europe.
